Remembering the Gifts You Already Carry
What if your deepest expression lives not in doing more — but in being more fully yourself?
A reflection from Julia Kyambi’s Soulful Inspirations Newsletter
Do you sometimes wonder what your gifts are — and what you’re truly meant to share with the world?
What life might feel like if you were fully heart and soul expressed?
Perhaps you’ve already achieved things that others recognise — ticked many boxes you can be proud of — but deep inside, you still feel a quiet emptiness. Maybe even a sense of aloneness. And there's a deeper truth calling you… but you can’t quite access what it is.
The thing is, focusing on the idea of your gift can easily become a “mind thing” — or a “doing thing.”
But what if it’s really a being thing?
What if your true gifts — the ones that truly nourish your soul and gently inspire others — aren’t something you achieve or describe… but something you naturally radiate?
The other day, I heard something that touched me deeply: young children and elderly people often share a special connection because they’re both close to the “other side” — to the place we come from before we’re born, or return to at the end of life. That vast universal knowing. Our greater home. Where our true gifts reside.
Those of us in the middle of life are often disconnected from that place. We’re busy functioning, achieving, surviving — and only sometimes rediscover that deeper wisdom later in life, if we’re lucky.
This felt so true. But… does it have to be that way?
What if your gift is simply who you are when you’re deeply present?
How can you bring more of that quiet being quality into your everyday life? I’m talking about a kind of being that allows your true signature energy to gently flow through and touch everything you do — without trying.
You could imagine it as a place inside you: a space of sweet, still presence and gentle inner guidance.
A place you can reside in, no matter what’s happening around you.
From here, you can reconnect with your inner knowing, with your greater home — and let it ripple out through your presence, your choices, your energy. When you’re anchored in that place, it becomes easier to take steps that feel truly aligned.
You don’t have to create it. It’s already there.
That’s the beautiful part… You don’t need to “effort” to make this place real.
It already exists in you. It’s simply a matter of unblocking, reconnecting and remembering —
and strengthening your access to it.
Starting small makes it easy: take a breath, bring your awareness gently inward and be present to what you notice within, feeling you.
There’s no pressure, no new plan — just quiet practice — in your own way, in your own rhythm.
