When Grief Becomes a Gateway to Transformation

In this Quiet Inspiration, I had the pleasure of talking with the wonderful Uma Girish — a grief companion and author whose work blends grief work, Human Design and Soul Calling.

Uma’s work speaks to something I deeply believe: that grief is not only something we move through, but something that can open us to deeper layers of ourselves, our own purpose and what truly matters. Another reason I so appreciate Uma's work is that she gently invites us back to our own inner wisdom and our own relationship with the Sacred. Rather than offering fixed answers, she encourages us to discover our own way of knowing, trusting and living.

We had such a heart-opening conversation that left us both feeling touched, grateful and deeply connected.

We explored Uma’s own journey of spiritual awakening, the experience of grief and loss, identity, purpose, Human Design, and what happens when life invites us to shed old versions of ourselves and listen more deeply to what is calling us forward.

Uma also shares about her newest book, Sacred Fire, and the journey that led her to write it.

Rather than write a long article about our conversation, I felt the conversation itself says so much more.

So make yourself a cup of something warm, settle in, and enjoy this mindful and heart-opening exploration with Uma.
